My name is Debbie Miller Nelson and I've been in the wine industry professionally for 10 years now - 6 at legitimate wine stores and an additional 4 with my private business. 6 years ago I left a 6-figure salary at a large advertising company to start all over again in a business I'm passionate about...wine!
I'm a Certified Specialist of Wine (C.S.W) through the Society of Wine Educators and I have an Advanced Certificate from the Wine and Spirits Education Trust (WSET). Basically, I'm a wine geek with a pedigree. I also blogged for a major New Jersey website for a number of years, but I had to step down as it was called a conflict of interest when I accepted my current job right here in New Jersey.
Working with the public has allowed me to store up a number of stories. Some are touching, some are hilarious and some are so out there that I just couldn't make this stuff up.
